Over the years this aspect of the business has been most popular for 3 reasons:
- Customers have grown attached to their furniture; they like the look, size and comfort of what they already have.
- Sadly, with the influx of cheap mass produced furniture from abroad, there is a real possibility of swapping a good quality suite of yesteryear with something inferior.
- To replace good quality furniture with like for like is normally more expensive than re-covering the existing items.
The waiting time to start work is normally about a month. After that, the time to complete the work is about 2 to 3 weeks, e.g. for a 3 piece suite.
The purpose of re-covering furniture is to make it like new again. Customers are often amazed at the transformation:
